4B Class News

I would like to welcome all of you to my classroom!  I am so excited and I look forward to a great year with your children.  All of the rules and policies have been discussed in class as well as sent home for your acknowledgment.  Please find below some important information:

Communication:   If I ever need to communicate with you, I will send a note home in your child’s folder.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at the school’s telephone no. (305) 222-8751.  You can also send me a note with your child folder or send me an e-mail at fourb@stagathaonline.org. My preferred methods of communication are through a note or an e-mail.  If you are sending an e-mail, please make sure that you write your child's complete name in the reference or we will not be able to open it.

Homework/Test Dates:  It is the students' responsibility to copy all homework and test dates from the board into their agendas!  Homework will not be posted on the web page. Parents please check your children's agendas to make sure they are copying this information.

Accelerated Reader (A/R) Testing:  Students must read three Accelerated Reading books and take the quizzes each trimester.   Students are allowed to read a fourth book to drop their lowest grade.  Fourth graders must choose a book that is marked 3.5 (grade level) and above. It is the student's responsibility to check out an A/R book and let me know when he/she is ready to take the quiz. Quizzes may be taken during Library (Tuesday) or Ticket to Read (Thursday) time.

A/R level has changed to 4.0

The deadline for AR for the 2nd Trimester is Friday, 3/2/12!
