Kinder-2nd and MT:  Students will be able to use Ticket to Read to improve their phonics/reading skills.

3rd-5th and PPA:  Students in 3rd and PPA will discuss black history month and visit African American World for Kids . Find the Face | PBS KIDS. Students in 4th will identify African American heroes in African American Heroes 

Students will continue to work on their African American assignment using Microsoft word.  Students will need to have a heading, title, picture and paragraph.

 

5th- Students will work on their PowerPoint on a famous African American.  Students will need to have five slides that consist of:  title slide, 2-5 information (facts) on the person and your last slide a bibliography page. (two hyperlinks)

African American Heroes 

6th-8th and PPB/ PPC:   

Students in 6th-8th will begin presenting in class.

PPB and PPC are organizing and working on their PowerPoint presentations related to Black History Month.

Black History Biographies

PowerPoint Criteria:

Students are creating a six slide presentation that they will be presenting throughout the month of February.  The first slide is title and name of student, slides 2-5 should be important facts and interest about the person and the last slide is bibliography. (at least two hyperlinks, not including Black History Biographies above) 

 

Please make sure that all students come prepared to my class with the materials needed for their grade level.
