St. Agatha Library
The 2010 Scholastic Bookfair was a lot of fun and hopefully everyone has a few new books to read!
We didn't make as much money as we hoped but Americans of all ages are learning to cope with the economy.
A special thank you to Mrs. Silvia Gonzalez, Briana Medina's grandmother. We appreciate and have come to rely on your help every year.
Another thank you to Mr. Gonzalo Perez for helping set up the new cash registers...If you need a job at Target we'll be happy to give you a glowing recommendation.
Please note our new library "hours of operation".
If you like, you may come to the library with a parent on Tuesdays, after school, from 3:00 to 3:30. You must be accompanied by a parent on Tuesdays as you will have already been dismissed by your teacher. Your parent cannot come on your behalf.
If you stay in after school care, I will pick some of you up on Thursdays. I will come between 3:00 and 3:30 then I will take you back to Miss Pilar.
Should you be a student who leaves by bus you have some options:
1) Remain in after school care on a Thursday and arrange transportation home. Make sure if you stay you let me know so I can be sure to give you a turn.
2) Use the the link on this site to get the St. Agatha quiz list.
3) Choose books from Borders or Barnes and Noble.
4) Use the Miami Dade Public Library website www.mdpls.org. Select "library catalog". You can get a pin number from the library nearest you. Use the site to order books. They can mail them to you or you can pick them up.
5) Book Barn @ 10597 Bird Road has an assortment of used books you might be interested in purchasing. They will also take some of your used books as partial payment on the books you buy.
I'm looking forward to spending more time with you guys! Let's make the most of it.

The list of Accelerated Reader tests St. Agatha owns is available on the link below. Besides the St. Agatha library, you can get these books through the Miami Dade Public Library system or any retail book store such as Barnes and Noble or Borders. Just make sure the title and author match exactly. Make sure your copy of the book doesn't say "abridged" or "adapted". If you do purchase a hardcover you might consider donating it to the library when you finish reading it!
