Brush up on your English skills!

Check out some helpful language arts web sites below...

Also, you may want to consider getting a copy  of the English handbook Strunk and E.B. White's The Elements of Style.  Excellent way to check up on grammar and usage rules.  Thin enough to take anywhere, so it's travel friendly. Suitable for both students and parents.  Available at Barnes and Noble, Borders, and most other book stores.

Important:  All final drafts for writing assignments must be typed.  Specific guidelines:  Times New Roman 12 pt font (black), double spaced, 1" margins on all sides, proper school heading on upper left corner.

Having computer issues?  Visit your local public library.  Most of them have computer services available.

Log on to www.mdpls.org , Miami Dade Public Library System, to find a branch near you.

Extra Credit

Opportunities for extra credit points may be given per trimester.  It is up to the student whether or not he or she wishes to participate in the extra credit activities.  Each student may receive up to 10 extra credit points per quarter.  Only 10 points may be applied to the desired lowest test grade. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A REPLACEMENT FOR STUDYING HARD AND DOING YOUR ASSIGNMENTS!!!  EXTRA CREDIT IS UP TO MY DISCRETION.

Although I do provide information about daily homework assignments on this web site, it is your child's responsibility to write down his or her assignments each day in class. Assignments are subject to change.
