Current Event Assignment-due On Fridays (when the class meets).  See new guidelines for turning in the current events

The What and the Why must be 1 paragraph long (minimum 5 sentences each).  What? should be a summary of the article.  Why? should be your opinion tell me why did you picked this article?

Current events could be about news related to what we are covering in class.  Your assignment  can include topics related to geography, economy, politics, archeology, religion.  Topics related to sports, celebrities, criminal stories (or crimes), weather reports will not be allowed.

In order to get FULL credit for the Current Event you must include a copy of your article or the first page of the web page you got the article from (otherwise 25 points will be automatically deducted).  The article with NO report will only give you 25 points.

Give the source for all quotes, facts, and ideas that are not your own.  Make sure you use footnotes, and/or a bibliography or "Works Cited" page in all your projects.
