Dear students and parents,

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! I am excited to have your child in my class this year.

 I am looking forward to a happy and productive school year. If you have any questions or

concerns or if you would like to schedule a conference you can contact me by calling (305) 222-1517

and leave a message on my voice mailbox 4202. The best form of communication I find more efficient

is to email me at ppa@stagathatonline.org I look forward to having your child in my classroom!

        Homework:

Your child's Home Learning Folder needs to be checked on a

daily basis. All important notices as well as some of their homework will be kept in this particular folder

Your child will write down their homework in their agenda on a daily basis.

The agendas will be stamped by Mrs. Chang or myself , and it must be reviewed and initialed by a parent or guardian on a daily basis.

Please review the agenda, and verify the assignments have been completed, sign it, and assure that it is returned everyday.

Students will need to read everyday for at least 15 minutes. Please make sure you sign their reading logs everyday.

Homework will be assigned Mon-Fri. It is meant to reinforce any material covered in the classroom.

Your child may need assistance, however you should not be completing any of the assignments for them.

Homework may vary since their are multi-leveled students in the classroom.

After three missed assignments, the student will be required to serve a detention after school.

        Class work

Your child will be graded on class work. It is important for your child to follow directions,

complete assignments and participate in the classroom.

      Conferences

We will meet every trimester to discuss your child's progress. If the need arises we

can meet on other occasions.

Conferences can be scheduled Mon-Thurs before or after school.
