Our Mission: To help mold and educate responsible catholic citizens for a diverse and dynamic society

Now is the time to mobilize for our upcoming Parish Festival. Remember this year we must be in FULL COMPLIANCE with the regulations as it pertains to volunteers. We need your help! In order to volunteer for the Parish Festival you MUST have cleared fingerprints, completed the Virtus training and read your bulletins. Most of you have worked very diligently to make sure that you have completed all that has been required. Well done.
For all of the other parents that would like to volunteer----------there is still time. On January 28th there will be two other Virtus sessions, one at St. Catherine of Siena and the other at St. Augustine. If you need to complete this training, just go to www.virtus.org and register online for a session. If you need information as to the fingerprinting process, please see Mari in the office and she will be happy to explain it to you. Appointments can be made online to facilitate the fingerprinting process.

Your Home and School Association has been working diligently to plan the BEST family picnic ever. Mark your calendars now for March 3, 2012 at Indian Hammocks Park. This is definitely an event that you do not want to miss!!!!
Check out the story about our online textbooks in middle school. You can do this by going to the website for WFOR, Miami. On the right hand side you will see the video of many of the news stories covered. Look for ONLINE TEXTBOOKS, there we are! Additionally, you can check out the publicity on the Archdiocese of Miami website. Our story made the first page. You can also look for the article in the upcoming publication of the Florida Catholic.
The teachers and students are super excited about having access to their textbooks by using their mini-laptops. The interactivity, makes the curriculum come alive.

I am very grateful to the parents that stepped-up to assume leadership roles in next year's Home and School Association:

VP: Elizabeth Torricella and Virginia Sanchez

Treasurer: Claudia Orozco and Estela McDougal
Remember parents, you do receive 2 parent participation points by attending each Home and School meeting. See you at the next one !

Here is what's happening... |

MASS ATTENDANCE - Remember every child is expected to ATTEND MASS. If you are St. Agatha parishioners you will need to turn in the EMPTY envelope EACH Sunday. This envelope will be used to document your attendance. If your are parishioners at another Catholic Church you are expected to bring in a SIGNED bulletin by the presiding priest at the catholic church you attended. The homeroom teacher will collect your child's bulletin each Monday morning during homeroom. If attending St. Agatha Catholic Church, contributions are to be paid in the rectory on a monthly basis. If attending at another Catholic parish, letters indicating contributions must be presented to the accounting office in order to receive our tuition discount. These letters will be requested regularly.
