Re-registration...

Our registration for next academic year is going well. It is CRITICAL that everyone abide by the deadlines established, in order to assure your child's position for next year.  We are presently taking a waiting list for PK 4 and for Kindergarten. Other grade levels are very close to filling up. Remember, accounts MUST BE UP-TO DATE in order for us to accept your re-registration for next year.

Writing Enrichment / Study Skills

I am very happy to report that this year we will be receiving Title I services.  What does this mean for us? This means that our children in grades 1-5, will receive a 20 week program of instruction to enhance their Writing Skills and a 10 week program of instruction in Study Skills.  Our Middle School students will receive the 10 week Study Skills instruction.

There has been a clear link made between writing skills and reading comprehension.  I am very excited as to the positive impact this will have for our students. This will also be a nice component to enhance our School Improvement Plan (SIP).

Parent Participation Points....

This year our Home and School Association prepared a lovely flyer indicating the main events in which parents can accrue parent participation points.

This year EACH family is expected to complete 20 parent participation hours.  Additionally, families new to the school must complete ONE RETREAT here at St. Agatha (parent hours will be given for this retreat).

Approved Activities at this time are:

* (must complete fingerprinting process - described below, and the 3 hour Virtus training program)

If you would like to participate directly with our children, in our school activities, you will need to complete the 3 hour Virtus training, please go to www.virtus.org and register for another upcoming session.

Here is what's happening...

MASS ATTENDANCE - Remember every child is expected to bring in a mass attendance coupon (if they attend St. Agatha) or a SIGNED bulletin by the presiding priest at the catholic church that they attended.
