     Classroom Rules for Spanish:

       1. Enter quietly and ready to listen .

       2. Respect your work and the work of others.

       3. Keep the classroom nice and neat.

       4. Listen carefully  and follow  directions.

       5. All St. Agatha school rules apply while in the Spanish class.

       6. All assignments should be  returned on time.

   If a  Student Chooses to  Break a Rule:

        1. First Time -- Verbal Warning

        2. Second Time-- Change of seat assignment

        3. Third Time-- Additional homework and a note will be      sent  home

        4. Severe disruption-- Student is sent to the office , parents will be contacted

         Rewards:

         1. Verbal praise and / or sticker /or toy  for the younger students

         2. Small  certificate  rewarding the good work

         3. Free time after work is completed

         4. Play bingo in Spanish

        Grades are based on:

         1. Classroom participation and effort

         2. Class work and homework

         3. Quizzes ( grades 3rd to 8th )

         4. Projects ( one  for each  trimester )

    Grades from 6th to 8th : After missing  three assignments in a trimester, students will have a detention.  I will  send a notice home  with  a date , time and place .

   Students will have a 60 for each missing assignment .

  Students are  responsible to complete  all their missing assignments if they want that 60 to  be removed from  their  records.

  . Students are supposed to bring  all  their books and supplies required   for this class.

 .Bringing all the their books and   supplies  counts  as  part of class   participation.

 .Great part of the grade is based on the effort the student  shows  on this class.     .Finishing work on time is  important.

 .Participating in  class activities and being on task is  "very important ".

I encourage all the middle school  students to participate in  the  Spanish competitions . These competitions  will help them practicing  their Spanish . It will also help them in the grade they will  achieve in the  class ;plus it is  a lot of  fun  and  a great experience .
